A study of improvisational abstraction in shades of yellow, green, brown, and lavender, 2019. I am very fond of abstract art. I enjoy playing with elements that are visually appealing, and when properly composed, strike a certain balance that evokes an emotion.

The Eyes of Wisdom
The Wise Old Owl. A photo of an Owl’s Face, processed into vector illustration & enhanced to create an original piece, perfect for Throw Pillows, Canvas Prints, and More! Just the thing to decorate your couch. BEWARE! May strike fear into your pets!
Uncle Knuckles – Navy on Off White
Uncle Knuckles is a collection of hand drawn art inspired by finger tattoos. Many of which were symbolic to sailors.
The Nautical Star was meant to help them get home safely. It is now a symbol of protection, guidance, and good luck.
The Swallow meant you would always find your way home. “Home” in this sense could mean home with your family or called home to God after death (it was believed that birds could carry souls of the departed to heaven).
Uncle Knuckles – Hold Fast – White on Navy
Uncle Knuckles is a collection of hand drawn art inspired by finger tattoos. The “Hold Fast” slogan was tattooed on the fingers of sailors as a reminder to hold on tight to the ropes, lest they be thrown overboard. The term has so many meanings that it applies to everything from life, to love, and beyond.
Urban Legend Samma Lone
Another good friend of mine, and yet another excellent DJ & Producer, Samma Lone. This piece was done in a WPAP Style. I am still working to develop this style, but I am enjoying the outcome. Being a fan of both abstract and pop art, this style plays to both of those interests, and scratches multiple itches.
Abstract Beauty #2
This is Abstract Beauty #2, this time focusing on the eye. The shapes lead your mind on an exploratory adventure, as it tries to decipher what you are seeing. The individual elements could add up to any number of things, but when viewed at a distance, the exact nature of the image becomes clear.
Designer Throw Pillows for June
I am just crazy about Throw Pillows and Society6’s throw pillows are made from quality materials with excellent color reproduction. Throw Pillows are just a great way to add a bit of art to your everyday life.
Here are 4 throw pillows featuring recent designs from Studio Nakamura.
Keep Looking Up
Keep Looking Up is a vibrant illustration of a 360 Degree view, looking skyward at the shining sun. Tall buildings encircle the canvas, giving the viewer a grounded feel. This piece was designed for Canvas Prints, but also looks great on other items such as Throw Pillows, Shower Curtains, and more.
Sneaker Freak – Air 1985
A classic sneaker illustration for all the Sneaker Freaks out there. The Air Jordan is an icon of the 80’s, having been first released by Nike in 1985. I have layered the illustration over a complimentary retro pattern appropriate for the times. You can also find the background pattern as a stand-alone work, titled “Stolen 1985”.
Stolen 1985
“Stolen 1985” is a Retro Throwback Pattern reminiscent of classic 80’s design. Originally created as a background for the Illustrated Air Jordan Sneaker design “Air 1985”, minus the sneaker, hence Stolen 1985. Great on all sorts of textiles, towels, rugs, shower curtains, and canvas prints!
